Arkansas folks speak up.........

I found the website but (not to sound stupid) what time does everyone usually get there? I've never been to a show, I stopped by our county fair last week and looked at the poultry... but that was about it.

The birds will be set up usually the evening before and you can go in the next morning to look.the judging varies when it will start, but you can go look all during the day. This will be my first trip to this show but I am sure they are all about the same.

That's a really good question....I'd like to know also....

Well, I made it over to Warren for the judging this AM. The extension agent had explained to the judge about mine being for exhibition but wanting to talk to him. He isn't an apa judge, but is a master exhibitor, and has been judging county fairs for a long time. He said before he found out about my non status, He had my buckeye hen picked for grand champion and the BO roo for reserve. This was without even taking anything out of the cage. He said he would have had to find something pretty bad in handling them to change his mind. But then, a lot of the other were barnyard. There was a pair of Jap banties with the real SQ short legs (like I have been trying to hatch). a few nice modern game banties. And some nice but a little large silver and gold sebrights. Turns out the sex links are what the 4hers get and they are judged special. It just happens to turn out that he has some BTW Japanese for sale.

He is going to bring them to the fair saturday night at pickup time for me to see if I want to buy them!!!!

We talked about why he liked the hen, what her faults were, etc. I really learned a lot. Glad I entered, and even gladder I went for the judging.
