Arkansas folks speak up.........

Raining like crazy here, but it's 34 deg. Just warm enough to keep us from having ice, I guess. Hope everyone up north stays safe and warm.

Checking in from south east arkansas here. We are having a lot of rain and 34 degrees. The clinic director called DH and cancelled clinic for today. And we're not even supposed to get any snow/sleet until tonight!

Jen, I didn't know we were supposed to get anything. I know it is supposed to get down to 27 tonight, though. So I guess all this water will freeze.

I have some Blue Mottled Cochin eggs in the bator and it looks like I only have one chick out of 10 eggs.

I was really hoping for good results on these. On the other hand, out of the 10 Faverolle eggs I have in there looks like I have at least 8 with veins. So, you never know about shipped eggs.

It's 23 here and we have about 4 inches of snow and it is coming down. I am just happy we didn't get so much ice overnight that the power went off.

I've got an odd question for ya'll:

Does anyone have any horse hay for sale? Or happen to know of anyone that does? I'm willing to purchase hay that's from last year as well! Please let me know!

Afternoon everyone. I hope you're all still warm in the house. It's 28 and sleeting here in Benton. Bring on the snow! All the birds have had some warm oatmeal and water and are hunkered down in the coop. Rohaus and Molly Serama are on the porch, about 8 feet from where I sit, and Rohaus is quickly wearing out his welcome with his crow, crow, crow crow crow.....crow....there may be a little dark box in his future.

I had to give up the pajama party to go out and feed the flocks, but it's nice a day off from being employed. Long weekend!
