There will be a special meeting of the Drew County 4-H Poultry Club, Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be at Oak Grove Assembly of God, corner of Oakland and Winchester. We will be showing the movie “Beginners Guide to Raising and Showing Chickens”. This is an essential tool for novice poultry fanciers. The video contains information on everything from hatching to exhibiting and beyond. It includes section on judging at poultry shows by licensed APA judges. If you are planning on showing at the Drew County Fair, you really should see this video! Contact club leader at 723-3724.

Well the show season is closing in fast.I hope everyone had a great hatching season and has a champion growing up.We ended up hatching 150 OEGB's.I think we have some pretty good males coming up I just hope there are some ready for the November shows,I know we will have some ready for the winter and spring shows I hope we have some really good shows in our state this year and next spring.As of right now we only have one out of state show scheduled to attend and thats Shawnee Oklahoma in December.Well good luck to everyone showing this year and hope to meet some of you in the show barn.

I am looking for a female runner - any color - of mating age....the below pretty boy needs a "friend" I have a female pekin and two male mallards of the same age and I have two mallard hens and 2 muskovy hens that are about 5 weeks behind. my pekin is tired of the older guys....she needs a female friend to share the guys with...
