Tks farmgirl.....I think you are right. DO NOT buy straight run.....

It really has been hard on me.....just about the time the roosters started getting attitudes my husband went out of state to work for a couple of months! It has been left up to me to figure it out, decide who leaves and who stays. I even have one roo that was really mean and I put him in a very large crate to give everyone some peace. Opened the door to put food in and he dove out. Have just left him out. Not going to chase him down. He sticks close. My husband asked me where he was roosting.....I have no idea. Actually have a home for him and the other RIR.....now to catch him!

bburn, You got to start looking for them right before dark, they'll start wandering toward their roosting site. Then go out and get them after dark. There are some quite a few folks up in that direction, a very active Heart of the Ozarks Poultry Association (www.hotopa.com) They have a show coming up in November. I have a very busy schedule, I hope to go to HOTOPA and Haynesville, among others.

Ah Jen, he is still with me. I can catch him now if I need to. He comes running up to me when I go out to feed. The thing is that he wants back in the run....and he was the one causing all the trouble. I have got to gather up all four today and take the to their new home! STILL will have three in the flock!

Yep. We'll hopefully be at haynesville also. And hotopa show. And ark state fair and SE Ar regional and chickens at county fair now. All this leading up to SHAWNEE!! So excited.

Jim congrats on fair parade!!

I know it's been a while since I stuck my head into this thread. Gotta quick question for ya'll. I have been meddling into cheese making and I need some good raw milk. Dose anyone have a goat (or cow I don't really care) that is still in milk that would be willing to sell a couple of gallons to me? I'm still working on getting out of the city with my chooks so my own dairy animal is out of the question. Thanks!

We will be at Fayetteville just not sure what we are bringing yet.I have 60 young cockerels that I have raised this year but the first of November will be pushing it to have a few peak at that time.We do have a couple birds going to the state fair, and we will for sure be at Haynesville with a few birds. We will have some very nice Black and BB Red Old English Game Bantams to sell by the middle of November. We will be selling a few pairs as well as single cockerels.Hope to see some of you at the shows.
