Hey Arkansans, I moved here from TN in June. I have been a member for over a year now, but had to move in with my mom to take care of her. So now I am in AR. I am looking for some pretty SLW's if anyone has or will have any for sale this fall. Chicks or pullets doesnt matter, and I will need a roo, too. I hadn't thought about buying any from fair exhibiters, but that would be great!

does anybody know how good the chickens are at the garland county fair?are there any silkies?

I got such a thrill out of looking at the chickens at the Baxter County fair last night! Made me even more excited for the Silkie and Polish (and Cochin) chickens we should be getting tomorrow!

I couldn't believe how HUGE some of the roosters were too! One bird had the coolest short, crimped-looking, curled feathers. I forget what type it was.

I also noticed they'll be auctioning some of them after the fair too.

That was most likely a Frizzled Cochin that you saw, although any breed can be frizzled. It's most common in Cochins.
