I'll be there in my usual spot, for those that know me.

- I plan to have day old assorted bantams,
- 2 week old RIR, NHR, BO, BR, GLW, PReds, assorted ducklings,
- and some older chicks. Some young roos and pullets, a few banty and standard Frizzels, NN, and half silkies.
- And only a few older pullets and started laying young hens.
- Can't forget some young guineas too.
- Oh yeah, a young pair of very friendly, loveable geese.
I plan to have some nice young eating roosters and Muscovey ducks too.
I may even bring a few plants.

Anyone else going?

If you don't sell out of everything, PM me, I'd be interested in some fancies of some kind. Thanks

Rec'd my first chicks yesterday (ordered from Healthy Chicks and More). Post Office called at 0645 for me to come get them. We've never raised chicks before, but had chickens in Wisconsin...got them at an auction and were already laying. We would love to add some fancies to our flock if anyone has some chicks they would be willing to sell please PM me. We live in Greenwood but would be willing to take a drive to get some. Thanks all

I woke up at 4;45 AM to the sound of a pack of dogs barking and one yelping. They broke through the hot wire, dug under the fence and killed almost all of my buff orps and got back out. One dog was hung up in the hot wire, and the others were working on my Heritage RIR pen. The other dogs ran off when i came outside with my gun, and the hung up dog got free before i got a shot off. i found only one orp so far, i dont know if she will make it.

The dogs came from 1/2 mile away and will not live to see another chicken if i see them again.

Take photos and document what happened. It's a good idea to report this to the cops. Leave them some evidence before you clean up..

There was a recent case here in Oklahoma where someone shot coon dogs on his property and wound up in jail and liable for a lot of money to pay for them. I think his bond was $15,000. I'm pretty sure the law is about the same here in Arkansas.

You can protect your animals but unless you can prove they were killing your chickens, you might be in the legal wrong. I've shot dogs before but was maybe lucky they were just strays dropped off in the country. Nobody came looking for them and they were in my property. I lost 8 chickens to them.
