grounding rod. any metal pipe or bar about 3 feet long or more, you can drive into the ground. no need to pay $75+ for a copper rod.

another lg I put a computer fan in it myself I've had pretty good luck with this brand so far :) and supposed to go into lock down on current incubator tmrw but tonights candling revealed one of the silkie eggs has a internal pip so lock down happened tonight woohoo hatch day is sat

Ya'll are lucky geographically as far as being able to get animals easier. I have a hard time finding things within 30 minutes of me, with the exception of the saturday market... but last time most the people didn't know what animals they had (breeds). I asked what type of rabbits... its a rabbit, a nice one. Smh...

If you guys are on facebook there are several group such as back yard meat rabbits, pure breed poultry and livestock and some Arkansas groups like Arkansas poultry livestock and farm supply swap amoung others.

Can you provide some links. I tried a search on facebook for the meat rabbits and didn't find it.

400
got home tonight and had a silkie and a polish hatched I got them in a heated 10 gallon aquarium so the other eggs can have peace for the next few day to hatch

The coming warm weather has us thinking about starting up the incubators. Guess we'll be setting up the breeding pens this weekend :) Going to hatch blue, silver laced, gold laced, and barred wyandottes, plus a few barred rocks to add to my laying flock. Can't wait to hear the "peep, peep" of new chicks!
