What predators do our poultry have here in arkansas? I just got a 6 foot wooden privacy fence that they are enclosed in. Other than my wolf dog what should I worry about? They have taken to hiding in/under some bushes in their enclosure which I would think would save them from an air attack.

No Problem. I actually got the idea from the Welsh Harlequins... but since I don't have acres I don't want a rooster so I can't help repopulate. I know how you like incubating though, so you could actually help save species =)

I think I'm done with incubating the Polish andEEs are hatching today 4 already hhatched and its my bday woohoo I'll retire my incubators till my ducks start to lay just counted up and since Jan I've hatched out 104 chickens not counting the 53 eggs in lock down right now of those I've kept 40 chickens and will keep about 6 of these that are hatching now :-) if I hatched any more it would be purely for profit and I didn't see any chickens on the endangered list that catch my attention so I will keep searching for silkie andfrizzle and sizzle eggs to hatch

I can't believe that you are actually stopping hatching. You just said that you were sad that ONE of your incubators were empty.

Yea made me realize I need a break :-/ only a few weeks trust me I'll do it again for sure when my ducks start laying or I find a good source for silkie eggs locally I have a friend giving me 7 dozen barnyard mix eggs so I maybe incubating those lol idk I'm kinda crushed by the lose of my duck eggs so who knows I'm probably kidding myself about taking a break

I'm sorry Rayray! We got our ducks and quail 2 days ago, but after they start laying I'll have my husband make an incubator. He is surprisingly good with the animals for not being an animal lover like me.

racoons, posum, hawks, snakes, coyote, fox and dogs. up north might be bears and eagles added. do not forget 2 legged predators.

Other unconfirmed predators: bigfoot and chuppracabra
