That's a great queation. Dr. Bramwell closed out his breeding program of Araucanas. I hatched a couple of his a few years back. Interesting birds.

I would suggest looking at the classifieds in Arkansas newspapers. What kind of farming? There is farming all over this state.

Out in the county/country not near cities or towns. A self sufficient homestead is what I am aiming for. I've got that going on with my property but we are considering moving out of the appalachian mountain area. It would be so hard to start it all over! How is the weather out that way?

Weather depends just where you are in the state. The northern half does get winter type weather, hot summers, etc. The southern half, not so much winter weather, but likely more hot summers. Arkansas isn't terribly populated and not many major cities. Small towns and lots of rural areas.

Anyone interested in a Partridge Silkie Rooster. We have two roosters to 3 hens so one needs to go! They are around 6 months and I'm only asking $5 which is what I paid for him 6 months ago (so no feed costs etc).
