Arkansas folks speak up.........

Bought RIR at thegarland county auction. 3 of the 6 have cloudy running eyes. What do we do?

I've used Apple Cider Vinegar in thier water. About a half cup per gallon. That has helped some of mine in the past. Be sure you confine them to themselves to keep away from the rest of the flock. It is ( can't spell the word) sinus disease and is spreadable. Most of my flock is immune to it but can still spread. Worst cases usually don't get better and need to be put out.

Saying howdy from down in southern AR. Located in Union county. Too many pages to read and see if anyone is near here.

Is all okay during a this storm going on? We're having thunderstorm warnings here in Saline County until 9:15 PM. So we are about over it.

Praying that all are okay.

We had a lot of hard rain and windstorms. A few downed limbs and a couple of trees on the side if roads but nothing too bad. No apparent damage at my place.

No major problems for me up here, just inconveniences. I measured 3.4” of rain out of that last mess last weekend with more coming this weekend, but no real damage like so many others have seen. I can’t finish planting my garden, cut the grass, things like that, so I’m doing a lot of those little things you always mean to get around to doing but they just don’t have a priority.

I have nineteen 15 week old Buff Rock cockerels that I’ll start putting in the freezer next week after this week-ends rains. I generally like to wait later to process them but I’ll have the time and won’t be able to do much else. One of these will eventually become flock master so I’ll start getting rid of the ones that obviously don’t make the grade before I decide which one wins the grand prize and gets to hang around a while.
