This is my missing rooster in my arms. I found him in a ditch out back after I followed feathers threw the brush..

He is breathing, hearts fast beating.. eyes are open then closed. He has strength in his legs but doesn't want to stand.. He is only about 5 months old.

I checked his body, there is no major bleeding or odd swelling.. he has been bit by a dog it looks like a big dog too..and we do have strays big enough to bit him in both sides.. you might be able to see he is about 10 lbs so he put up a fight. I can't tell how deep the bites are.. Think he will pull threw

He is starting to drink... he is not eating yet.. he perked up a little when he saw the attention his brother is giving his girlfriend. .. I can tell he is either in shock with no strength or really hurt and in pain.. he is getting my attention tonight.

I would keep him in a separate cage at least for the night. Give him feed and water and keep him in the dark to encourage him to rest. Sorry for your troubles.

I have a crate inside. He is on my lap right now.. I have an orphan that lost her mom to the same dog I'm thinking that I already bring in at night.

Sorry about you losses.

I have had several losses myself within the last 4 weeks although mine were to wild predators. I think I've got it taken care of right now. I've taken care if my dog problem around here.
