Nothing yet, I'm going on day 22 tomorrow. I'm getting a little nervous, my temp has been at 100, humidity had been around 20-30%. So I'm hoping that has delayed them a bit. I know they were alive and kicking before lockdown.

I'm playing the waiting game right now....

I'm so glad I started reading forums before getting my chicks...the way these little buggers sleep would scare the dickens out of me!!!

Here are the newest additions! The one on its back is sleeping...scared me for a minute. Still waiting on the others to pip. Even if they don't hatch, I'm at 50% success so no bad for a first time with a borrowed incubator!

where did you get your adults from???
Mostly from Welp hatchery, but a few of the silvers I bought from someone. I believe they are hatchery stock as well--poor lacing, but they lay good!

I also set 17 SLW eggs that I got from someone on BYC who has Foley SLWs. I think she posted a pic of hers last week. If you're interested in wyandottes, Welp has some of the best hatchery birds I've had. Their type is close and they have good lacing. Stay away from McMurray if you want pretty lacing and roundier birds. I'm a little "dottie" (hardy har har) for wyandottes. Just love the round birds and their colors. Plus they are good layers.

Not hard to find Greenwood...wish I would have seen this post earlier, we could have met up and talked chickens...we live just east of Greenwood, off Hy 10

I just tossed 16 eggs :hit but I am left with 27. All 27 is are good!!! All wiggly flopping around in the shell, air cells look really good. I found my stinky one. It wasn't but it would have been plus now i know that the others have a really good chance! I'm going on day 22 but I feel like I had to take the risk of opening the bator. I watched my humidity very closely it never dropped below 75. Temp never dropped below 95, so I think it will be ok.

So now more waiting....fingers crossed that I have babies in the morning. NERVOUS!!!!!!!

If anyone in my area needs a Buttercup cockerel for their 4-H kids, I have two from my last hatch. Can't remember exact hatch date, but they are fully feathered in an outside brooder with no heat.

Rec'd my first chicks yesterday (ordered from Healthy Chicks and More). Post Office called at 0645 for me to come get them. We've never raised chicks before, but had chickens in Wisconsin...got them at an auction and were already laying. We would love to add some fancies to our flock if anyone has some chicks they would be willing to sell please PM me. We live in Greenwood but would be willing to take a drive to get some. Thanks all
