Arkansas folks speak up.........

Ya'll are lucky geographically as far as being able to get animals easier. I have a hard time finding things within 30 minutes of me, with the exception of the saturday market... but last time most the people didn't know what animals they had (breeds). I asked what type of rabbits... its a rabbit, a nice one. Smh...

its not really easy it takes some work and patients in this area to find what ya want especial if ya want pure breeds so many people try to pawn off mixed animals as pure and jack the price up I see nothing wrong with mixes just price a mix as it should be priced lol and I heard back about the mascovies I was just impatient go figure gona head out in about 30 min to get them woohoo

Lmfao and as far as the market goes most of those rabbits are either for pet or meat so either they are super cute or will put meat on fast and the people don't research their breed to find out what it is would be nice if they would lol I think when I go down there to sale my cockatiels I'm just gona be like its a bird either ya want it or not hahahhaha

I am with you! Hard to find anything worth buying around here. We have a gumbo of chickens and Jumbo Pekin Ducks. We tried quail, they all died. and we tried Bantams but the ice took there toll and all passed. We are going to try bantams again, we built them their own coop this year with insulation and their own pen.

Where are you in arkansas? Why did your quail die?

Yay! Found someone selling Giant Chinchilla's, standard would be better for meat than giant but I love the way they look and I'm mixing them with nz so it will all work out!
