MEAT BIRDS: Hey, would anyone in/around central Arkansas be interested in splitting an order of Color (Freedom) Rangers from JM Hatchery ? I'd love to get the price break that comes with ordering 100 or more, but we can't really handle more than about 50. I'd split with as many people as would like to join in.

Anyone???

On Monday, January 5th, at the Ft. Smith Livestock auction my mom is selling Dad's cattle.
These are not culls, they are Red Limousine. Beautiful, top of the line. Dad took great pleasure in the breeding lines and raising of his cattle.
There is 1 Red Limousine Bull, 'subject to register'.
and cows...one with a calf at her side.
Again, these are not culls. Please spread the word to anyone who might be interested.
Thank you.

She is selling due to circumstances.

Welcome!
Did you find the kefir grains? I love kefir, never made it myself. I do make homemade yogurt and have thought of trying to make kefir, just never have yet. Which country store did you get your chicks from? Just curious so I can check them out this spring. I have a small laying flock in the backyard. Anyway good to have you here.

There are folks in NW Arkansas who will share kefir grains, but honestly--it's a one-time purchase, so I say just go ahead and splurge and order some really great, organic, raw-milk-fed kefir grains. You won't spend more than $20, shipping included, and if you take care of them, you'll never have to buy any ever again...plus, they grow!

Or, if you're willing to wait a bit, I can grow you some extra from mine. I grow them in raw goat's milk that I get from a local dairy-goat farm. I'm in central AR, too.

The grocery store is H&W's Dime and Dollar 8 miles east from Greenbrier on 225 E they order in spring and early summer . Its cheaper for me to get from them than for me to order seperate. They a have a nice little store they like the country life and all to go with it.

My home made yogurt is too sour for my taste buds just wish I could cut the wangy taste.
