Arkansas folks speak up.........

Sometimes it is surprising how much difference moving the incubator can make. My first choice is a spare bedroom when it is available. But when have visitors I put it in my wife’s “loom room”. That’s a large room behind the attached garage that will not be used when we have visitors. My Hovabator 1588 handles the temperatures fine, but I have to watch humidity. With mine it is a different room so that’s not real surprising but I’d guess yours is due to the location of the air vent in that room. Sometimes it takes some tweaking to get it right. Time of year makes a difference with mine too.

So I finally raked all the gumballs out of the run thinking the girls would be happy to not have to walk on them. Yeah.....silly chickens!

It's hatch day for the chicks! So far, a lot of CHEEPING and not a lot of action. Lazy suckers! Lol! It's a long day at work, so maybe I will have a chick when I get home! Have a great day yall!

Wish you luck with the hatch. I’ve got some buff rock that should ship from Ideal this morning just as we get the cool-down. The brooder in the coop is ready and I’ve handled cooler temperatures than forecast but it would have been nice if they had been a week earlier with the great weather we just had.
