Arkansas folks speak up.........

Well still no luck in locating a job. I had a interview yesterday, but the pay rate was a little more than half if what I was making. The only part that seemed good about it was that it was a state job.

Been out looking again today, but most all the place I checked said " not hiring right now, but will take an application".

Tomorrow I have a mandatory workshop at the DWFS office. It will be anywhere from 6 to 8 hours.

Uggh! Sounds like your Wednesday is going to stink.

I am so sorry for your job struggles. Sending positive thoughts your way!

It is kind of ironic that you are looking for a job and my last day on the job is tomorrow (by my choice.) I think that is why I am up and can not sleep right now. I have not been pleased with the company I work for and my husband is retired so I am quitting to stay at home and keep him out of trouble and play with chickens.

I wish I could send you my job, of course, I don't really recommend it, currently. I do hope that there are changes in store and things improve there.

I also feel for you and others in your situation. The economy really stinks right now and I hope something appropriate turns up for you soon.

Thanks.

On a happier note though I got a new pullet laying. From my second round of Green Egger Naked Necks ( could be one of the non NN pullets though) tomorrow they will be 24 weeks old.

Hey everybody. I've been following the site for awhile now, but just found this thread. I've been in Hot Springs for about 5 years now. My wife and I inherited 8 RIR hens and a roo a few months ago, and we've since got 7 more pullets. I look forward to learning from some other good ole Arkansas folk.

Welcome to the Arkansas Thread. There is a auction this coming Saturday at the Saline County Fairgrounds. All are welcome.

Looks like I won't make this weekend. Kid stuff is in the way. I am going to make sure the one in London is still a go for next weekend. I've got to clear out some birds.

Evening folks!

Getting things prepared for tomorrow auction. See the Arkansas Swaps and Meet-Ups and Such Thread.

I've got 5 new layers in the past two weeks with two more that can start any time now. These are some pullets that I raised from my October 2, 2914 hatch. They are 24 weeks old.
