Apparently things were a little worse than I could see from the safety of the hotel. News reports say 50% of power out in Batesville, a several damage reports.

Hope everyone is doing alright this morning? We had some small (maybe pea sized) hail but a LOT of it and hard rain, very strong winds and a ton of lightening. I actually had to run out in the hail to bring in baby (well, 8 week old) chicks I had moved out into a rabbit hutch type thing. Took 5 trips since I had to also maneuver the door and hold the baby. They didn't even get damp......I, on the other hand, was drenched. And even small hail STINGS!!!!

I have a friend who moved to Mena just a few days ago.

Haven't been able to find out anything yet so pretty worried about her.

Just saw that 3 are dead and at least 30 injured in Mena. 1 man and 2 women died - 1 in a house that got flattened, 1 in a masonic lodge that was destroyed, and one was crushed beneath a tree. Apparently the courthouse took severe damage and those inside had to be freed from the wrecked building. Many businesses and homes were hit hard. The sheriff says it looks like a bomb was dropped, like a war zone. My prayers go out to all of those who were effected by the storm.

Here in North Little Rock, we got a little wind and barely any rain. Lots of thunder and lightning though.

That's funny cause I thought I was crazy. I was on this site at the church and saw that you had changed your avatar to the lav roo. But when I got home later and looked on my computer, your old donkey was there again.

Saying prayers for everyone in Mena. I just put my little chicks outside yesterday. So I worried about them all night. They were fine this morning, though some big limbs fell on the coop.

Here in Van Buren (about 90 miles North of Mena) we just got wind, rain, thunder and lightening. No hail, thank goodness! Tornado sirens were going off all night long til about 8:30 pm - a funnel was reported to have been sighted at about 7:00 pm, but nothing came of it, I guess.

Same here. It took my days to get mine to change. It seems real easy. But its not!!!!! No damage here. Not one drop of rain. Could here the sirens blowing all night.
