Hey rbam I have a question. One of our mottled cochin chicks looks um.. smutty? It's kind of yellowish smudgy ish... but not quite. What color is it? Let me get a quick pic....

Oh no, not complaining.. just curious. Didn't know if it was white, lavender, or what? They're just the cutest little chicks... my yorkie can't keep himself from checking on them. I am happy to have actually hatched some eggs!

lav are usually a powder blue , whites are usually yellow, so if I had to guess it will be white with some blue or lav color to it. Sometimes you never know until they start maturing. I have had what I thought were blue chicks that turned black that then turned birchen

they like keeping you on your toes.
