First one since early November! I think Gladys laid it.

It was almost olive green! I was expecting light blue. I don't think it could have been Ginger, she's only 21 weeks old and her comb is really pale and small. That and she is still half the size of the other brids. Gladys' is bright red though. Mabey she will rub off on my barred rocks.

Urban, congrats on your egg! You made me smile because you remind me of my 11 year old when we got our first egg. I guess she was 10 at the time, and she ran to the house to show me and got so dizzy she thought she might pass out for a minute! I admit I was very excited too.

Congrats, Urban! We've all been so excited over those first eggs.
My little boy found the first one layed by his little "long leg" bantams yesterday. He came in the house going, "Whoo Whoo!"

Grats urban dreamer!!! I can't explain to non-chicken people how it felt last week when we only had 3 eggs in the fridge! Somethin about havin a good supply of FRESH eggs is good for the chicken keeper's soul

I'm waiting on my girls so I can complete an order of eggs that I sold on the auction thread. I need one more nice and dark cuckoo maran to produce, and two more from the EE sisters.

Then they all get tucked into newborn diapers and shipped to Cali.
