You just never know when things are going to go haywire. DH had back surgery last November. Never could get him to quit doing stuff he shouldn't. His back started hurting him again and he's been on steroids, pain meds, started therapy, just kept on getting worse. When I got home last night he was miserable in severe pain, nothing worked to relieve the pain. Finally at 4 this morning I said enough, we're goin to the ER. They did an MRI and he has another piece of disc fragment loose somewhere putting pressure on something. Anyway, they have him scheduled for surgery in the morning. Maybe this will take care of it.

I am sorry about DH. That's doody! I can relate as I have a ruptured disc at L5-S1 and know all about horrible back pain. Good thoughts and hopes for a successful surgery!

Actually dad didn't get to have the surgery. They finally got him down to pre-op and he was running a fever. Who knows why? Hey can't find a source. So it'll probably be Saturday or later before he can have it. In the meantime he is somewhat comfortable I guess. So makes the waiting a little easier on him I suppose.
