Hey, I realize it's like 406 pages into this forum, but I just wanted to say "Hi!" I'm from Van Buren and my wife and I are just about to start building our new coop during Spring Break with the kids. It's our first venture to raise chickens and we've got 15 assorted pullets that have been growing like NUTS since we bought them a few weeks ago.
We have our pullets in a giant rubbermade 135 qt tote. For the covering we just used an older baby gate that normally stretches across the doorway. They seem to like it since they can hop on the watering jug and peck at it.

Congratulations! Yes, bantams can be tiny, depending on the breed. I have a couple little guys in with some standard sized chicks right now. The big chicks look like Godzilla!
Northwest Arkansas here. Little town called Berryvillle. From what I've learned, lots of people know where it is because it close to Eureka Springs and Branson, Missouri. Have me a small flock that includes silkies, frizzles, cochins, Eastrer Eggers, bantam Turkens,Call ducks, Buff Brahma and just purchased some chicks from feed store that include Golden Comets, Light Brahmas and Partridge Rocks. Hope get plenty of eggs from my girls so as to help some of my friends who love eggs.
