Arkansas folks speak up.........

First Show of the Year for us!! Looking forward to it!

The deadline to mail your entry to the Rison Poultry Show is today (Feb 16th).

We are getting ready to go out and look over our birds to see which ones get to go to the show and get our entry form in the mail. Most of them are in breeding pens so they may be too messed up to go to a show until molting season comes.

We are for sure taking our Black Cochins (Large Fowl). May take our Black Cochin (bantam). Taking a Blue Andalusian Cockerel LF. Also Black Sumatra LF. Also BBR Araucana Cock (LF).

Then the hard part to figuring out how to get them all in the vehicle. Also taking another 4-H student with her 4 birds with us to the show.

Hope to see you there!

I've got chicks hatching every weekend. Just had a 3 week break. I needed that.

I am just outside of the Russellville area. I raise Cochins for pets and laying. I also sell pairs and try new colors. I just love these chickens. They are so easy and friendly. All mine are spoiled and
I must say they lay great!!! Here is a picture of my latest Lavender Cochin Chick that hatched in February/2012. I have Red buffs and Black and Grey Barred. I am trying to start some others this spring.

I'm coming to the Rison show and I have Black, Splash and Blue Copper Marans chicks for sale. About a week old. These are from good quality stock and came from very dark eggs. I just have too many. Selling 10 of them. $6.00 each. In Monticello
