Arkansas folks speak up.........

I show them. The show season is usually fall through early summer.

You can start by deciding which breeds you want to show. Byc has a "breeds" tab on top of the page.
Then you can get some Show quality hatching eggs or live birds along with a copy of the book "APA Standard of Perfection" to select the traits of the birds for show quality.
Grow your and select your birds and wait for the show season to begin, or look around byc for upcoming shows.
You can become NPIP inspected or get your birds T/P tested before you can show them.

You may even can hook up with your local 4h poultry club for help.

Of course this is just a quick suggestion. There is usually alot more to showing birds that what i wrote.

Thank you! I have some more questions. How does one become NPIP? The APA 2010 Standard of Perfection? I may talk with my Aunt and Uncle, who are BIG into 4-H. They just started show cattle recently.

Does anyone nearby, I'm in the River Valley, want some little baby roosters? The daddy is a show quality black mottled bantam cochin and the mamma is a grey sizzle. The chicks are about 3-4 weeks of age. They are very nice and tame because I have been hand raising them. We have 1 black sizzle or frizzle (it's too early to tell) rooster named Jazz. 1 grey sizzle/frizzle rooster named Fonzi. And maybe up to 5 little roosters in total, we will just have to wait and see. If anyone is interested or knows someone who might be please tell me. I want these little guys to go to a good home (where they will not be eaten). If I can't find a good home for them then I will pay $150 for a new chicken tractor but I would rather that not happen.
Here's an older pic of 4 of the chicks, from left to right: Izzy, Fonzi, and Jazz with Sunny in the back:

Fonzi is beautiful!
Thank you!

He's taking after his mamma and is real cute.

I have some chicks that hatched from eggs from Dr. Bramwell at U of A that I need to give away if anyone wants them. I have some white silkies and three Salmon Faverolle cockerels, one buttercup pullet, one Araucana rooster that is clean faced BBR.

We have a 4H member that could use the Salmon Favorelle cockerel. How far are you from Little Rock? We are 2 hours south of LR.
