Arkansas folks speak up.........

Don't I know it. We did get a couple of showers today. Hope the hurricane brings us some more.

we had unexpected sudden downpours today and the chicks did the fly/flap/run to get under cover. Some of the young ones were wandering around in circles not knowing what to do. We haven't had that many sudden rain showers since they were hatched. We had to heard a few into the coop. Their little chicken brains were scrambled and they didn't know where to go

Awe poor babies. I know whatcha mean. I had to rain proof mine in case a really bad rain/wind storm. Normally they are fine but I am afraid the wind may get crazy. So I have them ready! I am seriously praying for rain! We still have a burn ban in Lonoke Co. and I need to cut down trees and burn the brush so I can have the builders come in.

I feel for you there. We have been cleaning fence rows and have 3 brush piles at various heights that need burnt before we can finish seeding the pasture and extending the current runs.

We have a big oak that died from last summers drougt and is dropping limbs like crazy. We too have a huge brush pile that we would like to torch but can't. I am afraid critters will move in before we get it burnt and then we will have a barbq too!
