Arkansas Meet-Ups, Swaps and Such

1st Saturday of Every month

London, AR - Small animal livestock auctions

Contact Chad Yeargan 479-280-7893

They will have one this Saturday

It is all indoors, testing begins at 7am auction starts at 10am

They are doing Poultry, goats etc.

Chad said they had over 200 birds last month, he's expecting 3-400 this month.

This is less than an hour from me.  I may go to get rid of my roos if the weather is okay this weekend.

Nice. It about a 2 hour drive for me.

Let me know if you decide to come.  Maybe we can meet each other in person.  I won't know for sure until late in the week if I will be going or not.

Unless I can find someone that will be going there I doubt that I'll get to go. I have vehicle problems right now. If I change my mind then I'll let you know.

Do you gave a contact phone number for that auction?

I am trying to figure out some vehicle logistics myself. My truck was supposed to be in use by my son, but I may have to "pull rank".

Looks like I'm heading to the London auction tomorrow. Saying good-by to the boys.

Good luck. I'm probably not getting there this month.
We are having sine church goings ons later in the afternoon and would cause too much rushing around to get here and back in time.

I'll try next month. Maybe we'll get to meet soon or later.

I am curious about their set up. I expect I will be there most of the day. I would rather be home in my garden with the weather that is predicted but you have to go to the sales when they happen.

I'm curious myself how they're set up. I called and they even test day old chicks. My opinion is that they are way too young, I've seen and watched some die because it is too stressful on them.

Got to sale at 8:30. First in line to blood test behind birds belonging to staff. Auction starts at 10:00. Roslyn Pickens is the tester. I'll ask her about the chicks.

Great, waiting to hear how it goes. I'd also like to know how the testing goes on all, how fat and such.
