Noticed yesterday afternoon my incubator temp was way down at 28C deg / 82.5F !

The fan was still running.... so there was power there... the heater had stopped working!

I had 17 eggs in there! I quickly candled the eggs and took the ones away that weren't fertile. I was left with 8 eggs (these eggs were from a young rooster and young pullets so I didnt expect a high fertility rate) I have tucked the 8 eggs into my small Brinsea (holds 7 eggs in the turner)

Wondering if they will be OK?

Im sure the Temp was reading right in the morning..... the Eggs felt quite coolish when I candled them....

So I then got to work trying to find out why my heater had died..... checked out the wiring and thermostat and switches.... then plugged it back in and it all started working again....!!!

Ok so now im wondering if it has done it a few times without me knowing...! Is this whole batch of eggs ruined?

Now I keep wondering whats going to happen and if Im wasting my time with this batch...

Ugh...

ARRGGHHH its just done it again!

I just noticed the temps sitting at 30 C / 86 F

Im starting to wonder if the wafer thermostat is playing up or has crapped itself...

Its a Hovabator 1602
