Arrowhead block swap

Just seen on the previous swap talk about layer cakes not being accurate. I cut my own squares for this, put them face to face and then took them to the ironing board to starch. They stretched! So I would say starch and then square up again!

We had to vote yesterday to wether we stayed in Europe or get out. The outs have won so now our economy and government are in free fall.................
how do you get out of Europe? I'm not up on European governments, but is that a good or bad thing? Like kat said, we are going to be in a pickle here also with our elections coming up. Scary times, but I'm trusting The One who is in control.

And good tip on cutting and starching. I've never starched my fabric before. Do you wash it first?

At this point that is all we can do is put it into His hands. I don't pre-wash my fabric, The way the fabric is made now a days it is really unnecessary cause it is all pre-shrunk, in the days gone by they didn't preshrink so if you didn't prewash and just made your clothes etc, when you did wash it you got an interesting article back. The manufactures put sizing on the fabric gives it some body so starching just adds even more stiffness. I hope this hasn't confused ya.

nope! I used to always prewash but never starched. I haven't pewashed since I've been on this thread, and I really like the way the fabric handles. I'm gonna try it on this quilt. Maybe it will help my triangles! I tried to be very careful with the triangles on the prairie flower, in the way I handled and pressed them. I bet starch would have been a better way to go with them.

Well, I voted to stay in. The problem is that people have a right to live and work in any country in the EU and people here get angry about all the immigrants but without them our hospitals would all struggle as would veg picking and quite a few other industries. These people all pay tax. The other complaint people have are the laws but to be honest most are for our own good and safety and they won't go away they will just become uk laws instead. I think we have far more to loose than we will gain by being out.
Plus there are many many Brits living on Europe who may have to come home.
