Arrrrrgh, LG incubator!! i hate this thing!

I put 18 duck eggs in my moms class room and some of kids messed with the Lg and it got down to 80 so not one of them hatched! I'm looking into getting a cabinet incubator after that experience though

well, well, well....i seem to have found my problem. for years i have been telling my wife to turn the A/C down when she leaves for work. today...she actually DID! so there is my temp spike issue! note to self....stop badgering wife when it may affect a hobby....time to go rip the thermostat off the wall.

I will pay for shipping to anyone who wants to get rid of thiers. I couldn't afford to buy one so I made one. Not the greatest but better than none. I have been checking ebay but by the time you pay for shipping they are more than in the stores. If anyone really wants to just get rid of them let me know. I have ten grandchildren that would love to watch eggs hatch.

When it comes to mechanics & electricity I am decidedly NOT a tinkerer. Ease and simplicity are my thing. Everything I've read regarding Brinsea's ease of use has been good. Thanks to BYC as I probably would have wound up with a styro-bator had I not seen it mentioned here. I know there are people who like them, but they seem to be the exception rather than the rule & while I'm an exceptional girl, I don't think I'm the exception!

They usually dont spike themselves if you think back it might have been bumped or someone might have thought it was a little cool when they woke up and tweeked it just a tiny bit ..

GOod luck

I had a horrible time getting my LG stable.. I put a fan kit in it and now I never have to touch it.. *knocking on wood*
I use my Hova Bator for hatching, since I can get the humidity up better in that one.. I have homemade hatchers, but like the Hova better.

I put a couple of sponges in the LG to get the Rh up.
