Art Art Art!

I say don't worry about what they say! As long as you know you didn't trace it, that is good enough. Eventually, if you draw enough and obtain your own "style", even drawings from reference pictures from the internet will looks like "yours". I have a very distinct shading style, so people usually know what is mine, even if I draw it from a popular picture.

Here is one of my "quickies" as I call them. A spure of the moment thing.

In my experience people who accuse you of tracing are usually jealous themselves. Dont let it bother you keep doing what you do. Eventually you will be able to work your own peices from memories, or experiences that you had. What your doing is what I started doing a decade ago when I started, and now I enter competitions, have commisions, and produce my own original works. You'll get their, it will just take time. In the mean time however, your drawing are superb.

I've had art classes that were terrible before. The teachers were way too critical about the student's work. I've had other teachers that encouraged us and graded us based on effort rather than how nice the project came out. So just because you didn't do well in an art class doesn't mean you are not an artist!

You should get yourself a nice little sketch book! That way you won't have any of those lines in your drawings should you ever decide to enter a piece in a contest or even hang it on your wall!

I actually do have quite a few sketch books. My only reason for using the journal is because every. single. one. of my friends (or anyone who sees my drawings) accuses me of tracing bcause I base my drawings off popular images from the internet. Anyway, I used lined paper because you can't trace (or at least I can't) using lined paper.

people used to accuse me of it too all the time, I just tell them that I don't and I don't really care what they think. I know I can draw. You know you can draw so who cares what they think! Your drawings are beautiful

I'm a human photocopier too. I can't really create to save my life. It never looks as real as when I copy something.

As for Art, I got a D- basically because I didn't do ENOUGH works. I presented 5 and had 'only' filled up one folio. But I get bored and go months between drawing/painting. I have to FEEL like it!

I drew this for my fiance recently, he is really into WWE and I have only drawn a few human bodies before, need practice so I can being 'creating'. Normally I draw animals or birds, fur feathers yno. Quite happy with it though

I'm okay at drawing when I have something to look at. I haven't had much experience, though...
This one was a rough sketch of a photograph I found in a book.
