I think that there is a misprint and the lady gets 12-eggs per week from her 8 hens, not 12 eggs per day. Otherwise, I want hens just like that--maybe. :O)

He is SOOOO insightful. :O) Design-wise they are pretty. Practical-wise, pretty uncleanable looking. They need statue chickens, or audio-anamatronic like at the Disney parks.

It is cool to see chickens and chicken housing getting such attention though.
 
agreed! my first thought was "ick, it would be full of spider webs."

I do love the design though. Very artistic. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have any practical points.
