Hey, I noticed that my hen, macchiato, was throwing up clear liquid whenever she bent down to peck at something. I looked it up online, and it says that she has ascites! I am so sad because it says it's untreatable and fatal. Is there anything I can do? Anyone have a chicken survive that? I am so sad... I will do anything necessary to keep her comfortable and happy.

She is about 2 years old

Treat her for Sour Crop according to this article.
Do provide grit (crushed granite) and a nutritionally balanced poultry feed for your whole flock.

Photos of your hen and her poop are always welcome.

Have you addressed the mite/lice issue in your flock? On your other thread just a couple of days ago, you had a hen with inflammation and nits. It's a good idea to treat all your birds plus their housing with a Permethrin based poultry spray or dust to get the bugs under control.
