as a teen i had a lot of acne. my mother took me to a few different derm drs. all of them gave me creams and cleansers to made my face sore and dry. the last dr i went to at around the age of 15 asked me if i drank soda. i said, yeah about 2 a day. he asked me to stop drinking them for a month and only drink water, teas and juices. after a month my face had cleared up a good bit. so after that month i stopped drinking sodas forever and never had acne again aside from the occasional pimple.

I don't drink soda for almost half year I only drink water, tea, a little coffee, that's all I drink, and that's why I'm tricked that this acne still made its way to my face.

thank you for sharing.

yes, I have backyard wide enough to grow food plants. but the question is how I will take care of plants? my dog will ruin it all, and how to take care of disease attacking plant and that huge numbers of mosquitoes at my backyard
hide.gif
I currently have a coconut tree (still very small) and some banana trees at my backyard.

I'm too jealous with people in US, they usually have their own ranch or wide property (usually in country area) to keep house, cow and other pet or plant whatever they want, that's not easily get here.

by the way, is eating oatmeal is not healthy?

unfortunately, since I'm a male, I can't take birth control pills, can't I?
lau.gif
that will be horrible. by the way, aloe in capsules mean aloe vera essence packed in capsules, am I rigth?

well, it's just usual life I live here. I have a shop selling daily need, I currently studies IT in a private university (not a good one

) ..... emm, what more?
hu.gif
real boring activity everyday, but it's going heart race start from monday on since I'll have examination from monday for a week.
hide.gif

LOL, I think the Birth control would not be a good idea! How old are you if you don't mind my asking?

The aloe is just freeze dried aloe ground up and put in capsules, but I think you can get it in liquid forms as well.

As for a garden. You have to train your dog to stay out of it, just like we all do here in the states! Or if you can get or make fencing of some sort - even if it's just a string at his chest level to remind him. It can be done with work and patience!

Depending on what you can grow, and what kind of diseases, we could offer organic ideas for controlling it. Sometimes something as simple as dishsoap and water can help. There is a sister site here at the bottom of the page that may help as well.

Not all of us in the states are lucky to own land. Many people here are not much better off than you are. I was lucky to get some land at the right time when I was young, but it took me 20 years before I could afford to build a home on it.

sure it won't be a good idea, even without it I won't get pregnant forever
lau.gif
, oh, never mind, I'm 22 now

I ask the girl in drug store asking for aloe vera in syrup/capsule, they didn't sell it, but I got a big bottle of Cod Fish Oil the brand is Scott emulsion, I don't know if that's good brand or not, is that also available in US? bad or good? is salmon fish is the same fish with cod fish? the girl said that's the same fish, but I believe she's lying, her face seemed different when she explain they're the same fish.
roll.png
ups, I've search wiki, they're different fishes, I'll make sure to yell that seller when I get back to that store
rant.gif
but gladly I don't believe her and I bought usual scott.

yes, of course, a struggle is needed to gain what we want. well, I just watched (again) movie called The Patriot starred by mel gibson, I know this is an old movie, but I like the story, how hard is to gain independence from britain. but finally continental army won and british expelled. back to our case, through struggling you've finally be able to build a house on that land. that's just the same one with that movie, through struggling the american finally be able to build a *new world* a country of freedom and no more tax without representation.
thumbsup.gif
that's really interesting story, I never get bored of watching and reading american war of independence. but why that's real boring when read my country's own history?
hu.gif
I believe that's because of discrimination we've suffered in this country since my grandfather's grandfather came to this country hundred years ago, so we don't have any sense of patriotism to this country.
pop.gif

by the way, just sharing my life, discrimination in this country is really thick. we help them when they got in trouble but they try to turn us down whenever they've time
hit.gif
that's really sad. I just can't hold my tears any longer when I remember back in that year of sadness. when I must meet the fate that hundreds girls of our people being raped by that fanatic barbaric people and then they killed them.
somad.gif
when hundred of us being beaten and killed. when many of us being burned alive inside our house.
hit.gif
you just can't get through of that horrible situation. I can't forget that bad memory. I'll remember it till the end of my life.
hit.gif

I'm sorry I just *got brought*. I do believe I use no word of rude or offending any race or religion. beg your pardon, but the tears of pain never recover for me to feel the pain of my people. back to our social life here. oh, when we must meet that people who work for government, such as police or people in gov. that take care of license, we have to use such *oild money* to get our business easily get any license. I believe if you ask any people in US that have ever face business in here, they can tell you about *barrier* to deal business here. you'll have to bribe officer in harbor to get your things in even your things are legal and full of license.
roll.png
I'm not surprised why things are so expensive here. when you're stopped by police on the road, even when you have all license, can show car *letter* they'll start asking you for *coffee money* *cigar money*.
rant.gif
that's police in my country ( I never shocked my country still hanging in one of the most corrupt country in the world). but don't shocked when you're here you'll find none police/gov people like I said, why? because they keep showing their best to the foreigner.
roll.png

oh, watch out of flood and power outage here, that happen very very frequently, even in the capital city.
roll.png

forgive me for ranting so much..
bow.gif
I just want to share my *view* and experience. oh, we have much kind of delicious food in this country
droolin.gif
have you ever eat durian? that's local fruit, with dangerous skin covering it. but that fruit is really delicious, but danger if you eat it with beer or other food. and much more food and great view/scene in the right place.

by the way, I noticed in your profile you're from miami, is that true miami possess really beautiful beach? how about california? both of them were very famous all over the world.

please forgive any wrong use of word/rude/offence considered word. I've tried to censor it to meet all rule.
enough of me, share your life in US please

I have not read all the posts here, but I just wanted to share what my daughter does for her severe acne. She went from beautiful skin to hardly being able to see her face from all the huge cystic "explosions" all over her face in a matter of 2 months. It was heartbreaking to say the least & she was devastated by it~~emotionally and physically....acne really can be mean stuff. We did try a dermatologist at first and their "methods' made her much, much worse by far we are certain & I regret ever taking her there, but I am thankful she is persistent....such as you sound like you are! She never gives up hope.

She researched nonstop about how to get rid of it and, now, within less than 1 year she has it almost all under control. And I say "control" because I believe that she will have to battle this for quite a while with the methods she has found, but they seem to be working wonderfully for her! And we have been thrilled with the results.

1. She eliminated all processed foods from her diet. This was hard, but necessary as the extensive chemicals put into and on our foods is overwhelming.

2. She has done several "liver/gallbladder cleanses." These cleanses helped her immensely as acne is really an internal problem. She expelled many gallbladder stones from each of these cleanses. I was shocked by this as she is still just a teen. These were a huge help to her~~most definitely. In fact, she just finished another one yesterday and is already showing even more improvement in her skin.

3. Eliminating stress also helped & trying to maintain a positive attitude with regular exercise. She does a great job with these, especially the positive attitude! She even says that changing her diet, etc., as she has done may have just kept her from serious diseases that she might have had in the future if she never had had acne!

4. She studies what types of chemicals are in cosmetics, foods, personal products, etc. We purchase more "natural" items such as Burt's Bees (not all of the them are as good as some others) and Bronner's Soap, etc.

5. She also found that for her, the "drying up" of acne with products did not work for her at all. Your skin naturally puts out oils to keep it supple and when one tries to dry it out by removing all oils, the skin fights back by putting out MORE OILS and thus creating MORE acne. She tried putting more good oils in her body (such as olive oil) and even on her (such as 100% natural coconut oil. (I also like this as it help "older skin" as well.)

While she still will get some "zits" once in a while, they are nothing close in comparison to what she had. If she feels a pimple starting, she will take an ice cube and put it in a wet paper towel and hold it on the zit to reduce the inflammation which has also worked well for her.

She could tell you much, much more than I am able to, but she is sleeping & me, being a little sick from bronchitis, am still up at this hour! LOL

I so wish you all the best with your acne. It surely is a tough battle, but I truly believe it is winnable and after watching my daughter, I KNOW it is winnable~~~Just Keep Being Persistent & I am sure you will find what will work for YOU!

I vote for the salt water bath.
My mom used to spend whatever she could afford on me and my sister's face and tried several things. When I was about 14 and had a pretty bad case of acne, I happened to be invited to go to my aunt's camp and we spent all afternoon swimming in the cannal.....which eventually leads to the Gulf of Mexico. I had fun. When I went in for my shower and used all the great smelling soaps, shampoos, conditioners and noxema my aunt spoiled us with, I happened to look in the mirror and .....omg.....I looked great. Instant cure. I only had a few pimples that were trying to vanish. I'm been swearing by the salt water ever since.

1. I really want to get rid of that processed food like instant noodle (contain preservative, mono sodium glutamate, food coloring, etc) and that junk food around my college
pop.gif
but I do force myself to get them away as many as I can avoid them.

2. I don't have any clue about what is that? the "liver/gallbladder cleanses." , I didn't catch that.. maybe you can give more detail about it? and what's wrong in doing it to teen? since well...... maybe I'm considered as teen too
hide.gif
I'm only 22
th.gif
is in that age we still considered as teen?
hide.gif

3. changing her diet? is that mean changing food menu? about eliminating stress, did she use any method to do this? I myself get bit of stress thinking about my school tasks that stack like a mountain.
he.gif

4. this one I don't understand. In simple term that I don't know much which chemical is considered as danger in cosmetic, food or personal product.
hu.gif

5. did she put that oil on her face skin? won't it trigger more oil to her face? will it be safe to put olive / natural coconut oil on face?

I feel sorry for your bronchitis,
hugs.gif
I hope it will be better soon for you... keep your health up, it's expensive to have a good health but it is far more expensive to cure disease...

thank you for your support.. I'll be glad to still have your daughter share her experience to deal with acne.

thanks in advance.
