[Ask] How to Get Rid of Acne Naturally

www.westonaprice.org is a good place to look at.
Proper prep for grains, is the old fashioned way of making sourdough.
And soaking whole grain rice overnight before cooking it.
Not eating grains that have been denatured and enriched and polished

Real cod liver oil does taste bad, I will agree. We put it into capsules to take it.
www.greenpasture.org
But, if you have access to good fish, and can eat the livers in them, that will be very good.

Are you able to find someone with a goat for milk?

I forgot to see where it is you lived before I posted.

A real problem that is happening all over the world, is the use of MSG and unfermented soy in everything processed.
If you can find a way to buy plain noodles to make your own dishes with, that can be very helpful.
Find an elderly person to show you the old way of making real foods in Indonesia.

I see this problem all over the world now.
Everyone is getting away from real food, and replacing it with packaged, processed fake foods.
There are serious health consequences for this.
And it is bad for the economy as well, no matter where you live.

Glad I joined this discussion - some excellent info being given.

mulia24,
i know its hard sifting through all this information - some things may not even be available to you. It may take a bit longer and cost a bit more, but cooking your own food is the way to go. I remember being a student though - start with baby steps.

In the long run though, you will be saving money because you will be healthier.

I was one of the first people to be treated with Accutane, back when I was 17 - I had cystic acne, and have the scars to prove it. Back then they didn't realize how bad the side effects could be, thankfully I didn't have any problem with it, other than my face getting hard, and feeling like it was going to crack open!! It did stop the worst of my acne, thankfully. When I got pregnant for the first time my system really seem to do a reset and from 24 on for the most part all I've even got were monthly breakouts.

I am almost 54 now, and still get pimples, although much less, now. However, I had a cyst form again over this past weekend, my whole cheek swelled up with it - I was so afraid it would surface, but it's calmed down on its own, thankfully. You'd think I'd grow out of it, but I never really have.

I was in the clinical trials for Accutane - the doses they give now are MUCH smaller than I got! Whew! The accutane really helped knock it back, but I am 46 now and still have acne, it just isn't as bad. There are vitamin solutions that dermatologists use now. I don't have insurance right now so I can't get any, but it does work pretty good. I do not know what it was called, the doc I had was giving me samples....

soaking whole grain rice inside water overnight? I think that will trigger bacteria that used to make alcohol/something like that, won't it?

I'll try to find capsuled cod liver oil, if I can't find it, I think I'll take that scott emulsion.

it is getting difficult to find natural thing here, I'll make sure to change my life style from that MSG filled food with beverage and vegetable, although I must admit that's not easy to kill the passion to eat that seasoning when I pass the colonel stand
roll.png

that's the problem, time's matter, when we can't get real food (usually because of taste and time) we usually will take a fast food although we know that's junk (that's me

)

do you have another tips to deal with grain and vegetable/whatever we usually eat. I'll be delighted to hear it more.

thank you before..

big_smile.png

well, that's true, many suggestion are good, even excellent, the problem is how to get it work here
hu.gif
I noted your last statement, long run I'll save money cause I'm healthier, that's remarkable, because the most spending money matter is when we got health trouble and unfortunately, we don't have such social security or other good stuff here. at here, I'll be kicked out from hospital when the doctor find out me have no money to pay for hospital bill
sad.png
, even at the first sight they'll ban me from entering the hospital when see me looks like a medium to low wealth people.
roll.png
do trust me in this statement. fortunately, I'm still healthy but I'm getting weaker with all this stuff.

have you heard that there's a women here being jailed and getting fine hundred million rupiahs due to complaining about hospital bad service.
ep.gif
don't be surprised, this is Indonesia.

please do share your tips to deal with simple DIY home cooking, maybe with carrot, tomato, garlic or anything easily accessible and healthy. thank you so much.

soaking your rice overnight will not cause bacteria problems.
If it is alread processed rice, like white rice, soaking does no good.
But if you soak whole rice, it makes it healthier.

I will try to expalin this simply for you.
All grains and seeds and nuts contain a natural preservative. It prevents the seed from sprouting unless it gets wet and warm, just like if you plant it.
If you soak the rice, and add a tine bit of lemon juice to the water, it gets rid of the preservative, making your stomach able to use all the good stuff in the rice.
The entire world used to soak all their grains, seeds and nuts like this, but when the industrial world gave us fast packaged food, and made us busy, most people stopped preparing them this way.

America is a good example of what happens when the people will not eat real food.
They get fat and get very sick from modern diseases.
Acne is truly a modern disease. Its not normal to have sores all over the face.
Yes, stuff you touch can be part of the problem, but its mostly all the garbage that is passed off as food.

I have a friend from Indonesia, and she makes real food, the way her grandmother used to.
It is very yummy!

Mulia,
Maybe you can take a couple of hours to go to your local fresh foods street market. I am assuming you do have one or two?
Take notes on all the foods that are available, even the meats and fish.
Write down the prices for each as well.
You should also note what your food budget is for each week.
We can help you figure out how to make it work within your budget and time.

And you will get healthy.
And you know what you can then do?
You can find other friends that need to learn how to cook and eat this way on a tiny amount of money.
You can teach them what you learn!

This is what I do here in America.
We have very little money, and are considered to be at poverty level.
But we eat well, because we do not buy pretend food.
And we can afford to do it as well.
If we bought pretend food, we would need wellfare checks from the government.

We also never go to the dr anymore, unless its a real emergency.
We have become very healthy.

Is there anyway you can grow some food plants in potted containers? This may help with getting some fresher foods. Steam or boil what you can. Maybe you'll have more strength and energy if you can get a better quality food source.

I've stopped eating all fast foods, Don't eat out very often. I grow and harvest or kill (deer), my own food during the summer, and preserve as much as we can for winter. I try not to eat any fried, breaded foods. I don't eat alot of food, but I do eat food like oatmeal, cerial (special K) and noodles in some foods. Guess I could drop the gluton based foods...esh! lol, where's the fun!

My biggest down fall is pepsi and sugar (candy, icecream, sweetened teas etc).. I stopped for 6 months and it didn't make much difference with my acne. The biggest thing that helped mine was going off the birth control pills. My break outs go right along with hormone changes.. I still get them, just not as bad. I also notice if I'm constipated, I get more break outs. I think the body is holding on to toxins. So I use dried aloe in capsules and I am guaranteed a total clean out within 8-12 hrs...

Everyone's cause of break outs will be different. I hope you can find something that works for you, and let us know how you're doing!!

I'd also like to hear more about how it is living in your country. Daily life, what you're studying etc..

I'll surely glad to have you teaching me how to deal with food and bring it healthier way.

sharing when able is always a good manner, especially how to get healthier and get rid of acne

don't take it so hard, you can use US$ to buy good almost twice amount here than you buy in US. while we can only buy half in US using money that we can buy one full here ( I hope you understand what I'm talking about)

how about if we start from simple vegetable? without considering the price first now, since vegetable is quite cheap here, except chili (US$1-US$2/kilogram). I can get rice, tomato, garlic, union, cucumber, carrot, potato, spinach (this one now bitter, I think that's because of pesticide/fertilizer), sawi (dunno the english) easily, if you recommend other, I'll try to see if I can get it. for fruit, I can find banana, grape (this one real expensive), apple (expensive too), orange (very2 cheap
big_smile.png
), salak (I don't know the english name), pineapple, coconut (I got 1 week diarrhea when drink one I bought from seller near my school
he.gif
) some food like tempe and tahu (made from soy) also easy to get and cheap here.
smile.png

thank you so much.

yes, I have backyard wide enough to grow food plants. but the question is how I will take care of plants? my dog will ruin it all, and how to take care of disease attacking plant and that huge numbers of mosquitoes at my backyard
hide.gif
I currently have a coconut tree (still very small) and some banana trees at my backyard.

I'm too jealous with people in US, they usually have their own ranch or wide property (usually in country area) to keep house, cow and other pet or plant whatever they want, that's not easily get here.
he.gif
by the way, is eating oatmeal is not healthy?

unfortunately, since I'm a male, I can't take birth control pills, can't I?
lau.gif

) ..... emm, what more?
