Aspen shavings

I know it is fine to use pine shavings but TSC only has small bags and since the girls still have a few weeks inside is it ok to use aspen shavings since they come in big bags it would be easier. Don't want to do anything wrong. Thx.

Aspen usually has less pine odor and is softer(at least the kind I bought was like that). I would think it would be fine. Isn't it more expesive than regular pine? I buy the big bags of pine shavings at the feed store.
