Assisted hatch on 24 hrs externally pipped chick, are these veins?

Is that pipped at wrong end?
No idea as I’m so new to all of this. I thought its head should be near the air cell, but it’s towards the pointy end. It externally pipped in the middle of the shell. My remaining egg also externally pipped in a similar spot. Is this an issue?

I'm not sure if this is common practice, but it has worked for me with malpositioned chicks that failed to progress.

That chick seems to have absorbed most, if not all of it's veins but the only way to safely know for sure is to candle, and remove the shell from just over the air cell, and moisten the membrane to see. If you do this you will most likely have to help all the way after this.

If he is still yawning or making chewing motions, it's still absorbing and not ready to hatch yet.

Thank you all for your super quick and helpful feedback. I’m happy to report that with a little assistance our once stuck chick is hatched and healthy! All 5 of our eggs made it!

3rd from the left, sporting a hat of umbilical cord. (Should I take that off?)

Thank you, again!

Congrats. Lol they look squished in there.
Thanks! So squished, but I think happily so as they all moved to one side of the incubator to nap. It’s only been 12 hours for one of them, so they need to stay in there a bit longer to dry off.
