This little sweetheart was a gift from my aunt. On a visit to Atwoods, I of course could not keep myself away from the chicks. Knowing that I had a decent flock at home, and my husband would kill me, I fell in love with a teeny tiny little chick, which was white and gray. So I picked the one little chick. Now that its growing up, I have no idea what I got. Of course, I'm obsessed with the feather-footed, so that narrows it down. I'm seeing a straight comb, which might mean cochin? There is where my assessment ends. Anyone have ideas?

Looks like a feedstore Cochin all right! it's called a single comb by the way :D

He's a cutie! He looks sort of barred in the pictures? Or has he just got that black baby chick pattern they get sometimes? I love his attitude.

Sorry about getting the comb wrong! lol, I always get that mixed up. But yeah, he's my cutie. Some of his feathers do look kind of barred. Our store orders from Ideal, so he could be barred. I was hoping he would end up mottled or something like that. He does have a really neat little attitude and the way his feathers are growing in (in these huge fluffy tufts, sticking straight out) just adds to it. :) He's my little buddy.

Love how odd they look once the feathers start to come in, I have some that have the feathers all the way to their toes. Fluffy little guys! I Have no idea what they are but they have great attitudes towards the kids, they are great layers, we're trying to hatch some!
