I currently have all my Dominique hens free ranging with two roosters. One Dominique rooster and a Batam that someone pawned off on us. The Dominique is definitely the dominant rooster. My question is how long after I make sure my hens are solely with my Dominique rooster can I be assured they will be true Dominique chicks?

After removing a rooster hens maintain high fertility for two weeks, moderate fertility for three weeks, and occasional fertility for as long as four weeks. It really depends upon whether or not the little guy has been getting the job done.

Well he gets attacked every time he tries so I’m not sure how successful he is. So if I separate and put them in with just my Dominique rooster for 3 weeks they SHOULD be full Dominique?
