Yikes that sounds vile! If it were my dog she'd be sleeping outside.. at least then she could go whenever she needed to.. and the house would certainly smell better.
She can't sleep outside, never has. She has no meat left on her bones and has never been an outside dog in the first place due to her cold nature anyway. She is about 20 lbs lighter than her full weight now, poor old girl, skeletal even. I won't put her outside now.
She did sleep in the basement bathroom shower stall for awhile, but she can't go up and down the 13 steps as well as she used to due to her hip arthritis, plus she has minor cataracts which make it even more difficult. We do a decent job keeping up with it and she is a revered member of the family. As I said, we'll deal with it until either she passes on herself or we must make the decision for her.
I found someone to take my Barred Rock rooster that you confirmed was a roo on one of my posts and I thank you. They gave me two little barred rock chicks that I am pretty sure so far from learning from you are pullets. I will post a picture as soon as I can get a good one. They are about 4 days old and look like girls already now that I have learned but I will see what you think. Thanks again for everything.
