At least one of our chickens is pooping blood!

We have some 8 week old chickens and we noticed that one of them is pooping blood. I think it's just one because the vast majority of poops look normal. We changed their feed recently but I'm not sure if it is just a coincidence. None of the chickens are acting differently than normal.

I would get some Corid at your feed store in the morning and start treatment for possible coccidiosis. Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days.

Fortunately we have some amprolium on hand so we will start with that right away.

Just posting an update in case others have a similar issue and find this thread. We gave them a 5 day treatment of amprolium and it worked First day there was less blood, second day very little blood, and the last 3 days no blood at all and the chickens are all doing well.
