I have a Roo I am trying to ID. He is gorgeous and looks a lot like a Redcap, but I am not sure if he has the typical Redcap Comb or just a normal Rose Comb. He is 6-7 months old. He also has a beard, so I wonder if I just got a beautiful EE'er. I cannot post pictures right now or I would. Will as soon as I can.

My question is really, how old are they when their combs are fully developed? Thanks!

Depends on the breed but by this age I think what you see is what you get. My barred Rock is probably as big as he's going to get and he's 6ish months. Plus, you can usually tell what type of comb at a couple months, even if it's not as big a it will get.
