I completely understand that, that’s why I would recommend purchasing poults next time or try to find someone with hatching eggs that are local.

I do know somebody that has turkeys, but not sure if they'll give me eggs.

Maybe next year I'll try it, but my father also doesn't like making extra stops. One time we traded a silkie to the turkey guy for a 32 pound broad breasted bronze turkey that we butchered for Thanksgiving.
He loves silkie chickens.
