At what age do you cull extra roosters?

Does the ratcheting feature take a long time? Or snap thru quickly?

I’m thinking this might be a decent option, because at the moment I’m doing the jugluar bleed out and it does take a while.

I tried a tree lopper but it didn’t cut thru the bone quick enough for my likely. I still had to use a knife afterwards, so I since have skipped that trauma.

I prefer using the cone over a hatchet and board.

I cull them as quickly as I can when I know for sure that they are cockerels, which does not take long at all. Note that the word "cull" does not always mean to kill a chicken—it is a general term meaning to remove the chicken from the flock. I never kill any of my cockerels, I give them other homes, which is preferred as soon as possible so the switch over between a new environment is not as stressful.

No no no ratching type of PVC cutter. I use the non ratching type.

Has to be very sharp lopper. I have a dedicated one for turkeys that I sharpen in-between birds.
