I'm trying to find some photos on the computer. i don't know where my camera is as we moved into a tiny apt and I can't finbd anything. My husband says we will be in the house in the nexrt couple of months, so hopefully I find it then. Here is a photo of my Sonny. She's the one always in charge or so she thinks. If you ask her she will say "That is correct."

Next comes Tiny Tim and Tinker Bell. We lost Tinker Bell this fall to a mistakenly left on ceiling fan. These are/were my 8 year olds indoor birds.

I'm still looking for photos of Niki, Louie, and Pickle, but here are two of the most special little boy, Julian.

Here he is eating ice cream and it is tasty as you can see by his little tounge.

And this is cropped from when they, my son and Julian, were searching the freezer for the ice cream.

Most of the photos on the computer are of the horses, turkeys, chickens or my old house. If I could find even one of my memory cards I would have many more, so I'll keep looking. As you can see Julian was somewhat attached to my son.

How pretty! I love those colors. Sun Conures are like sunsets with wings.

The only bad thing about Julian is that he detested my younger son. Julian was the baby and when I brought home a human baby he was very resentful. If Julian had lived longer I'm sure that as my son got older he would have accepted him. Especially since my 8 year old isn't afraid of anything. He gets Sonny, the grey, all wound up playing and she can get really rough. Sometimes she bites pretty hard when she is wound that tight. He doesn't care. So I know he would have gotten Julian to accept him. He so wanted Julian to love him too. Niki, one of the cockatoos, no longer likes my 8 year old. He's way to high energy for her, but Louie the other adores him. Birds are just like humans. Some are outgoing and some are introverts.

Sassy Ann is very opinionated about people, too. In her foster home, she never did warm up to the woman's husband. 'Bit the blood out of him' was what she said when she handed the cage over to me.

While she is possessive about her toys she does allow me to remove her unraveled rope toys to give her a new knotted rope to work on. She loves those 97 cent knotted rope toys for dogs sold at Walmart. And she will let me and the entire world know if she does not like a toy I have placed in her cage. She's my gal and knows it!

Now Pickle is the possesive one. She just has a fit every time anyone touches anything on her cage. My older son used to lure her over to one side of the cage so he could change her feed and water. It was hysterical to watch. I would then just reach in and grab her and she would come out purring like a cat. Pickle loves me and will give tons of kisses and also likes to play dead. You pretend you have a gun and shoot it at her and she will fall over dead. Then I pick her up by the tail and say "Oh no we have a dead Pickle" and take her over to the garbage. When I drop her she will take off flying and land back on her perch. I have no idea how this came about. It was just one of those things. One thing lead to another and it became one of her tricks. She's a funny little girl. I think that is why Julian hated her. She took attention away from him.

Sassy Ann is one lucky girl to have gotten a chance to have a loving flock. Conures are one of those birds that are so pretty that people get them and don't realize that they are LOUDER THAN LOUD and really do need to interact. Cockatoos are like that also except too much attention can send them over the edge as much as not enough. Both of mine were rescues, same with Sonny and Pickle. Julian was a birthday gift for my older son when he turned 15. My son always says that Julian was the best gift I ever gave him. Gee I would have thought it was life, but whatever.

Sonny and Sammie are so beautiful. When we purchased Julian we didn't know that the males tend to have the redder heads. Of course with him still being young it would have been hard to tell. Julian used to get one tail feather that would be yellow. It was usually one of the longer ones and was really cool. Even now I still find an orange feather now and than. I found on just the other day in a bag of books. Now those feathers have become so very precious to me where before I would just vacuum them up. It's one of those things that make you happy and sad all at the same time.

Yes Sonny did get a kiss for that. Also at night when they are being covered if you say "night night" they will run inside their cage and wait to be covered and then say "night night" back to us. Sammie doesnt like to talk much but he will purr and bark like a dog lol. When i was brooding my ducklings inside i would let them run around and eventually when i let them out Sonny would start quacking! That was pretty cute. I still have alot of work to do with him though. Jodge tried to get him out of his cage last night and Sonny kept running from him and biting him. I walked over said his name and he came right to the edge wanting to step up like a good boy. Also if i click 2 times and say his name he will bob his head and sway and click back 2 times. Wont do it for anyone else. I wish Sammie liked me as much as Sonny. Dont really have anything cute about him because he never lets me near him.

When I was reading this you could have been talking about my Lovie, Sun Conure, She passed last year she was 13, she was born with just one eye, she died from a stroke. I still wear my holy shirts!! LOL My husband & I were truck drivers and she went with us, she slept on my neck, she would hang on to my collar of my grown and she wouldn't move all night. She wouldn't let me talk on the C.B. I think she thought it was a big snake!! She was the funnest little bird I've ever had.
I had her from the time she was 3 weeks old. Sure hurts when you lose them but the 13 years of love and fun, we enjoyed from her was so wonderful.
So enjoyed reading this, reminding me of her! Thank You!!
