Ok, to define Christianity I would say. Christianity is the belief that we live in a created universe, we have a creator who loves us, he sent his son to die for our sins, in order to get to heaven we have to have a relationship with Jesus. Christianity is not a building or a practice, it's a relationship.
Boooring. So old, outdated and tired that silly story.

Here's where I stand:
we live in a created universe, ✅
we have a creator who loves us, ✅
he sent his son to die for our sins, X
in order to get to heaven we have to have a relationship with Jesus. X
Christianity is not a building or a practice, it's a relationship. ✅

Do I qualify? By the way, I don't know any *human* parent who would force their child to suffer a horrible death and die for the sins of their siblings, do you? Why would a gracious deity abuse their child like that? I don't believe in the atonement doctrine. At all.

Also, I think there is a lot of forgiveness and we can get to 'heaven' (whatever each of us indivdiually thinks that is) without giving ourselves over to "Jesus" in this life. JMO.

Christianity is the least open minded thing in the world.... they cling to their beliefs through faith (which is belief without evidence). You mention anything logical, or oppositional to what the Bible says and watch them close their minds right up. They don’t listen to evidence, they’re reaching for recollection of how their preacher taught them do navigate around this situation with witty prose and fancy talk meant to tug at your heartstrings and distract you from facts. I love science bc it doesn’t require faith to believe. It offers evidence and changes its views based on changing evidence. No need for rituals, drinking symbolic Cosmic Jewish Zombie blood superstitious mythology. It just is what is is, and science doesn’t care what anyone believes.
Atheism and agnosticism are not open minded either, they cling to their beliefs through credulity and won't look at things from anyone elses point of view. Science is one of the best ways to become a Christian, the creationist point of view makes sense.

This reminds me of a Bill Hicks bit lol. I probably can't link it as he uses colorful language a lot but essentially the joke is when he was talking about Kennedy people would come up to him and go "Bill stop talking about Kennedy mann, let it go.. it was a long time ago, forget about it." And he'd reply "okay, then don't talk about Jesus to me! As long as we're talking about shelf life here.."

"Bill, you know, Jesus died for you-"

"Yeah it was a long time ago! Forget about it!"

How is this, true?? Agnosticism is literally saying I don't claim to know or be set on anything lol. For me it's literally I'm completely open minded. Genuinely how does that make sense to you, what are agnostics clinging to? Lol

Why do you write like it's going out of styleHEY
Write day and night like it's going out of styleHEY
Every day you fight like it's going out of style
Do what you do

Jesus chose to be the atonement for our sins nobody made him do it. If you were the only person in the world who stood in front of that cross when Jesus hung there suffocating and you said you accepted his sacrifice but nobody else did, he still would've done it.
It's not about being good.

Lol, absolutely 100% incorrect. Science
Is how I became an Atheist. Was indoctrinated against my will as a child; so I know it from both sides. Read this if you’re really interested in educating yourself.

Why does anyone have to atone for our sins, though? Supposedly, the Christian God is all powerful and loving; so why doesn't He simply forgive without requiring a human sacrifice in order to do so?
