Here they are
1. Where did we come from?
2. Who are we?
3. Why are we here?
4. How should we live?
5. Where are we going?
These are all the questions that man has been pondering since the first Neanderthal gazed into the sky. Nobody knows the answer to these questions.
Christian people would answer this with ease and extreme detail with very old mythological stories. But logic and reality tells us we don’t know any of this and can only speculate and pursue science so we eventually can get those answers.

Actually lots of people wouldn't be a Christian. Which is sad in my opinion be cause they're not being "Open minded" they just being empty minded and refusing Christianity most likely because of moral reasons
Wait how are we close minded for not being Christian?

I think we are open minded to find our own ways to feel spiritual and happy, outside of organized Religion

One thing I miss from my days of being actively religious and attending Christian church every Sunday is that feeling of having all the answers. There was only one question I ever asked in Sunday School that our teacher couldn't answer. I asked one day, "How come there aren't any dinosaurs in the Bible?"

My Sunday School teacher answered, "That is a mystery, God works in mysterious ways," or some pablum like that.

Other than that, my religion had ALLLLLLLLL the answers; and that felt great! Now, I know how much I don't know, and it's uncomfortable.

I mean yeah I saw lots of folks explaining that they're irreligious when they came in?? I did for one. Also that's fine but if you're not irreligious then?? Your own time to waste I guess. Definitely don't have to explain yourself to me I don't really care honestly just pointing out the purpose of this thread since folks seem to keep forgetting
Thank you for being on thread patrol and having such passion for keeping them on track.
Better get back in there and post something relevant now or others might think youve lost focus of the subject.

That’s a great question, I actually looked this up awhile back when I was struggling to decide.... my conversion was a long, frustrating and difficult time for me. I ultimately decided on Atheism bc I identified more with that definition
Yeah I've looked it up too in the past, I think what I said was accurate.
If Christianity were real, I still probably wouldn't be Christian because a lot of people in their community have homophobic beliefs
Eh see I disagree with this. For one although the majority im sure are, I already explained they are accepting denominations and those shouldn't be forgotten. Also I just disagree that you wouldn't be. You'd be one by definition. Right?? I mean for example if there were a word for .. I don't know. I feel like there's nothing we can collectively agree on, i mean we can't even agree on gravity being real so not sure what I'd even use as an example. Let's just assume gravity is real lol. And the name for somebody that believes gravity is real is a .. gravistian.. lol. It doesn't matter what you call yourself, if you believe it's true, you are it, and in this make believe scenario you should believe it because it's true.

I literally was typing as you sent this very useful reply. :) take care! Goodbye!
Edit; and though you're obviously being snarky, I will say I definitely will do my part to keep spaces like these safe for irreligious folks to express themselves freely :)

Everose, would you mind definiing "Christianity" for us? I'm honestly not sure what you mean by the word. Do you mean a church-going, Christian? Or someone who respects/ believes in Jesus? Or someone who has been so-called "saved"? Or baptized? Or ...?
Ok, to define Christianity I would say. Christianity is the belief that we live in a created universe, we have a creator who loves us, he sent his son to die for our sins, in order to get to heaven we have to have a relationship with Jesus. Christianity is not a building or a practice, it's a relationship.

Christianity is the least open minded thing in the world.... they cling to their beliefs through faith (which is belief without evidence). You mention anything logical, or oppositional to what the Bible says and watch them close their minds right up. They don’t listen to evidence, they’re reaching for recollection of how their preacher taught them do navigate around this situation with witty prose and fancy talk meant to tug at your heartstrings and distract you from facts. I love science bc it doesn’t require faith to believe. It offers evidence and changes its views based on changing evidence. No need for rituals, drinking symbolic Cosmic Jewish Zombie blood superstitious mythology. It just is what is is, and science doesn’t care what anyone believes.
