Also. I know this was discussed earlier in this thread but I personally think I’m an atheist because a god or gods haven’t been proven to exist, and I’d rather believe that there was nothing than hoping there was some greater being who could help me who never did

Yeah, I don't know how I feel about believing in something that hasn't been proven... something along the lines of "can't see it, don't believe it"

I won't say specifically, but I believe in certain things that most Christians would severely frown upon.

yeah theres nothing wrong with religion but some ways people interpret it that harm others is what bothers me (especially racist and homophobic/transphobic things)

That would be a very insignificant obstacle for a civilization capable of creating such a simulation.

What bothers me is the "join our religion or we'll kill you" parts of humanity's history. SO far from truly following Christ's way, should not come under the name "Christianity" at all. These things make me so sad I've about decided to quit calling myself a Christian. I tell people I'm a follower of Jesus.
