Daren took a breath of relief now that all the monsters were gone, for now. However, right after taking that breath he immediately turned back into his dark stage.

Riley looked around and stopped when he saw Daren. He glared at his black hair and dark yellow eyes. He was a threat to them all if the light Daren couldn't control his own powers.

Jade slowly touched her back that continued to bleed. She looked at her red fingertips that shook. She was scared, scared of death. Scared, of being alone in darkness forever. She lied down on the floor and stared at the grey sky. Then, small drops of rain hit her face. She smiled. She hadn't felt the fresh droplets of water in perhaps years. The pain in her back was slowly disappearing.
