Attaching Bird Netting

I thought I was being clever by using zip ties to attach my bird netting - and maybe it was if I had no plans to try to easily access the extended run it covers. For example, to throw in grass cuttings (that my three hens treat like gold), which I've also found is a great way to shake around and cover the bare ground in the run to give them something to not only eat, but to scratch through - and a cover for insects to feel unwisely secure in.

Here’s a photo. I’m so glad I did this, although I’ll bet there’s something better that can easily be used that wouldn’t aggravate the arthritis in my thumb joints. I don’t believe a coon could hang on the net and disengage these binder rings. It would be pretty tough to do.
