Attempt at hatching without a shell!

Has this ever been done? I mean successfully?
I think so ONCE in a sterile laboratory with all the necessary medical equipment.
@MGG please explain why this won’t work...
Because bacteria in the air and on things like the toothpicks and other tools will eventually infect it.
There is no way to properly turn the yolk and embryo.
No way to control transpiration of CO2 and oxygen - like an egg shell does.
 
Whoa, this is so cool! What is your plan for what to do if the chick actually makes it to hatching? Do you think it would be able to pip/get out of the bowl properly?
If it does make it, I will just remove the plastic wrap above it, and remove the chick from the cup as soon as it’s ready

Hmm, well maybe Put several of these in at once? I don’t think that it was able to make it bc of the fact that this is completely unnatural, and it has only ever been done 2 times as far as I know.
