Thank you! That was a very interesting read. I unfortunately don’t have any Calcium lactate powder, is there by chance a supplement I could use instead?

So you think they're getting enough oxygen too? I'd imagine that would make smaller veins

I think that if you were going to use a calcium supplement you should use one from your local vets, so that it’s more likely to be ok for animals. From the pictures on the thread I think there may be a lack of oxygen, try cutting a hole in the cup and filling it with a cotton ball.

There is a hole covered, and and extra one on the top of the plastic wrap.

It would have to be sterile, also, or bacteria would contaminate the embryo.

Very true, it would be so hard to stop bacteria, since the egg is so vulnerable without the shell. That could also be what is causing the early deaths.
